THESSALONIKI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, MACEDONIA
The project involved the detailed design of the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) installations for both the existing and newly expanded Thessaloniki International Airport in Macedonia. The design process encompassed extensive refurbishment and expansion works totaling a built area of 59,193 m², with 26,601 m² allocated for refurbishment and 32,592 m² for expansion. Key components of the project include a substantial terminal expansion of 30,998 m², featuring new landside access and the remodeling of the existing terminal to improve passenger flow and enhance the overall user experience. The design also included the construction of a new fire station and guard houses to ensure the safety and security of the airport.
JEPA’s comprehensive MEP design was completed in 2016, ensuring all installations meet the highest standards of efficiency, safety, and operational effectiveness. This project aligns with the evolving needs of Thessaloniki International Airport as it expands its capabilities to accommodate increasing air traffic and enhance service quality.
