DEI (PPC) HEADQUARTERS OFFICE BUILDING
The new Public Power Corporation S.A. headquarters building embodies a vision for a biophilic future, constructed to the highest standards of sustainable specifications, with the aim of achieving LEED and WELL Platinum certification. Designed to nurture nature and support employee mental health, the building creates a positive working environment through its correspondence between form and function. The layout optimizes natural light and features open, free-flowing interiors that enhance the overall experience.
The facility encompasses a total area of 35,000 m² across the ground floor and four upper floors, complemented by three basements totaling 30,000 m². The building’s design incorporates advanced sustainable practices, including 4-pipe geothermal heat pumps, photovoltaic (PV) panels, and rainwater harvesting systems. Additionally, it features chilled beams for heating and cooling throughout the office spaces, marking the first installation of such a system in Greece. JEPA was instrumental in the detailed design of the electromechanical installations, ensuring that all systems align with the building’s sustainability goals and provide a harmonious balance between functionality and environmental responsibility.
