CULTURAL & CONFERENCE CENTER OF HERAKLION
The Cultural and Conference Center of Heraklion (C.C.C.C.) is a modern multi-story venue designed to accommodate a diverse range of events, including scientific meetings, conferences, concerts, theatrical performances, ballet, and art exhibitions. Covering a total area of 15,000 m², this state-of-the-art facility aims to promote culture in Crete, establish a strong artistic presence in the southeastern Mediterranean region, and foster international cultural collaboration, effectively bridging the European road to the east.
The versatile complex comprises several functional spaces, including a Main Auditorium with 801 seats, a Concert Hall with 237 seats, a Small Auditorium with 155 seats, and a Multifunction Hall accommodating 175-250 seats. Open spaces with seating for an additional 230 guests, as well as foyers, exhibition areas, offices, food and beverage facilities, stores, and workshops, further enhance the center’s usability. The building also includes basement parking to accommodate visitors. Conveniently located near significant historical sites, such as the remnants of the Venetian walls and the burial site of Nikos Kazantzakis—an acclaimed Greek writer and Heraklion native nominated for the Nobel Prize in Literature nine times—the C.C.C.C. serves as a cultural hub, enriching the community and attracting visitors.
JEPA was actively involved in the detailed design of the MEP installations for the C.C.C.C., ensuring that all systems are integrated effectively to meet the demands of a multi-functional venue while adhering to the highest standards of operational efficiency and sustainability.
